Confidentiality
Students are expected to maintain patient, family, and peer confidentiality in every setting. While documentation and discussions are a valuable learning tool, it must be remembered that there is an appropriate time and place for this type of learning experience. Breach of confidentiality
could result in dismissal from the program.
When documenting PCR’s students must refrain from using any identifying information. Instead, be vague anywhere you suspect confidentiality could be breached.

•
Patient’s social security number
