Curriculum
The Paramedicine Technology and EMS Professions curriculum follows recommendations and standards established by the Technical College System of Georgia, Committee on Accreditation for the EMS Professions, and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. The curriculum provides the student with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills which are needed by EMS providers.
The Paramedicine Technology Program is 3 semesters (12 months) in length and provides both classroom and supervised clinical and field experiences. The EMS Professions Diploma, starting in Fall 2025, is 2 semesters in length. Upon successful completion of the curriculum, Ogeechee Technical College awards students a Diploma. Upon graduation, the graduate will be eligible to take the national certifying examination given by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
A syllabus with Course Descriptions, Program Learning Outcomes, and Student Learning Outcomes is provided to each student at the beginning of each semester.
