Welcome
Welcome PN Student,
Welcome to the Practical Nursing (PN) Program at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC)! We are delighted that you have chosen nursing as your career path and are honored that you’ve selected OTC as the place to begin this meaningful journey. The road ahead will be both challenging and rewarding, and we are fully committed to supporting your development into a compassionate, competent, and confident Licensed Practical Nurse.
This PN Program Student Handbook serves as a vital resource, providing essential information about program policies, expectations, and procedures. It is important that you familiarize yourself with its contents, as well as those found in the OTC Catalog. Please note that this handbook supplements, but does not replace, OTC Catalog. We encourage you to read it thoroughly and to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification.
Attendance at the mandatory PN Program Orientation is required. This session will help you gain a clearer understanding of the program’s structure, standards, and expectations, and will better prepare you for success.
While we strive to ensure the accuracy of all information provided, please be aware that updates to course content, credit hours, fees, schedules, curriculum, and policies may occur during the academic year, in accordance with college procedures. Such changes apply to all students unless otherwise specified and may take effect without prior notice.
Once again, welcome! We are excited to support you every step of the way as you work toward becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. The PN faculty is here to guide and encourage you as you pursue your academic and professional goals. Together, we will help shape the future of nursing.
Sincerely,
The PN Faculty
