PN Ready Examination and Remediation Guidelines

The Practical Nursing (PN) Program at Ogeechee Technical College utilizes PN Ready exams throughout the curriculum to assess students’ progress, identify strengths and weaknesses, and guide remediation. These exams are used as a formative evaluation tool and are designed to support student readiness for the NCLEX-PN.

 

Course-Level PN Ready Exams and Remediation

In following practical nursing courses, students are administered a corresponding PN Ready exam to assess course-related content mastery.

PNSG 1605 Fundamentals

PNSG 1625 Adult Health Nursing IV

PNSG 1630 Mental Health Nursing

PNSG 1635 Maternal Nursing

PNSG 1640 Pediatric Nursing

To support NCLEX readiness, students will complete the PN Exit Exam during the final course of the program (PNSG 1645 Capstone).

 

Remediation Requirements

To be successful, students are required to complete Remediation after taking Open Readiness and Benchmark exams. Remediation is completed on campus.
