Industrial Operations Technology - Robotics Certificate (IE91)

The Industrial Operations Technology - Robotics certificate program provides students with a foundational and applied understanding of modern automation technologies in industrial settings. This program equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate smart automation solutions, industrial robotics, and electrical systems in manufacturing and production environments. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on experience, students explore electrical systems, sensor technologies, and robotics, gaining expertise in key areas that drive efficiency and innovation in industrial automation.

Employment Opportunities

Entry level jobs include Industrial Automation Technician, Electrical Systems Technician, Robotics Technician, Sensor and Instrumentation Technician, IIoT Support Specialist, Manufacturing Automation Associate, and Maintenance Technician (Automation Focus). The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment of industrial engineers, technologists, technicians, and operators is projected to grow 12 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 25,200 openings for industrial engineers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Most industrial engineering technologists and technicians work in manufacturing industries. Most work full time.
