Confidentiality of Client Patient Relationship

All hospital and patient records are confidential in nature. Requests for information concerning a patient should be referred to the clinical supervisor or designee. Students are expected to maintain the confidentiality in a professional manner. Students who do not adhere to this policy will be dismissed from the program.

• Do not take any pictures of any animal within the facility.
• Do not take pictures of any portion of the animal care facility.
• Do not post any patient picture or patient information on social media.
• Do not discuss a patient's case or condition, especially within hearing of clients, other OTC students, friends, family, or the public.
• Do not take a patient record (digital or hard copy) from a hospital, clinic, or designated care facility without permission, and if you have permission, patient name information must be removed.
