Double Majors

Students may be afforded the opportunity to be enrolled in more than one major. In order to enroll in more than one major and under the guidance of the student's academic advisor, students wishing to pursue a double major will need to complete the Double Major Request form found in their Etrieve account on their student dashboard. The request must be fully approved prior to the start of the term desired to double major or it will be denied. Students can only double major in a program that is the same or lower level than their current program of study. Criteria used to determine if a student is eligible for a double major include, but are not limited to:

Overall GPA at time of request
Course history
Advisor/faculty recommendation
Within one semester of completing current program
A relationship between the current and requested programs
Financial aid eligibility

Any courses that are common to both majors will not have to be repeated. In order to maintain double major status, a student must take at least one course from each program concurrently.
