Freight Brokerage Certificate (FB11)

This program will prepare students to become independent or corporate freight agents and/or freight brokers. With the current state of the supply chain, as well as the recently passed infrastructure deal, SCTC's proximity here in GA to the ports of Savannah, Brunswick, and Charleston, Atlanta airport, and two major rail intermodal services providers CSX and Norfolk Southern, the SCTC service area workforce needs more qualified agents capable of properly arranging freight transportation. Georgia is the #1 state for business with an environment in which some of the nation's largest freight brokerages firms (C.H. Robinson, TQL, Coyote, XPO, Echo) and newer/smaller brokerage thrive.
